Group Visits

Carleton welcomes groups for specialized tours on a case-by-case basis. Please fill out the form below at least one month in advance of your visit and we'll be in touch about your options.

    Important notes about group visits:
    • A typical visit includes a 30min information session followed by a ~60min tour
    • Tours happen rain or shine (or sleet or snow), so bring appropriate weather gear
    • Beyond an information session and campus tour, you may request a student panel and/or an on-campus lunch
    • To eat lunch in the dining halls, every member of your group must be vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19; options for boxed lunches will be available if your group does not meet that requirement
    • We recommend you visit Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday due to tour guide availability
    • We cannot accommodate more than 50 students and 5 chaperones at this time
    • We require 1 chaperone from your organization for every 10 students who will be attending
    • We cannot accommodate visits of students younger than high school

    Expectations for Admissions campus visitors:
    • Registration: all prospective students and their guests must be registered in advance; registration includes attestation of COVID-19 vaccination status
    • Masks: Masks are currently optional on the Carleton College campus. Learn more about campus expectations through our Covid-19 FAQs.
    • Vaccination: All campus visitors are expected to be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19, if eligible.
      • If a member of your group is feeling ill on the morning of your visit, they should not proceed with an in-person visit.

Accessibility: Accessible parking, entrances, and restrooms will be available. All open buildings also offer places to sit.
